Population Estimates-National The Population Estimates Program produces estimates for the US areas within the US and Puerto Rico. Data coverage includes total monthly population, annual population estimates, and quarterly population estimates.
State & Metropolitan Area Data Book The data book contains a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States at the State and metropolitan area levels. Selected data for component counties and central cites of metropolitan areas are also included.
Global Insight Global Insight is a provider of global economic information, offering data on the reshaping of world economies, privatization, globalization, declining trade barriers, etc. Key data includes market potential and segmentation analysis allowing the determination of size of market by industry, and consumer segmentation, etc.

Industry Labor and Multifactor Productivity Labor productivity is a measure that relates output to the labor resources expended in producing that output. It is a measure of the efficiency with which labor is being utilized in production. This measure of efficiency reflects improvements in techniques and organization of production - technical change - and the effects of substituting other inputs such as capital and intermediate purchases for labor in the production process.
InfoUSA.com ABII has a database of 200 million consumers and 12 million business.
RFA RFA analyzes both U.S. macro economy and regional economies. They use large macro econometric models that are said to integrate local and regional data into the model. Projections are provided at the regional and national levels.
Woods & Poole Economics, Inc. Independent firm that specializes in long-term county economic and demographic projections. Each year Woods & Poole updates its county database and makes a new long-term projection. The Woods & Poole projections are sold in a variety of printed books, on CD-ROMs, as well as diskettes and magnetic tapes. Woods & Poole has been producing long-term county projections since 1983.

CAP Index Inc. The company rates locations in the U.S. according to its crime risk relative to the national or local average.   Crime risks are calculated in two categories--crimes against persons and crimes against property.
CB Commercial/Torto Wheaton Research CB Commercial's brokerage surveys are used to compute office and industrial market statistics.  These data are provided free of charge and disseminated widely so that they have become the industry standard for vacancy rates.  
Grubb & Ellis Grubb & Ellis maintains a metropolitan area database from a wide variety of published sources on five property types: office, retail, industrial, multifamily rental and hotel.
REIS Reports REIS provides custom reports for any U.S. market and submarket, and all property types.  It surveys' more than 100,000 buildings per year.

Real Estate Performance Report This is a survey of total property returns, segmented into income and capital appreciation, for properties acquired on behalf of tax-exempt institutions and held in a fiduciary environment.
U.S. Vacancy Reports U.S. Vacancy Reports have been produced every quarter since the early 1970s.  They cover the office and industrial sectors of commercial real estate in the major markets of the U.S.

III. General Real Estate Supply Condition

A. Permits
 
Construction Analysis System (CAS) Summary database provides numbers on projects, contract value, square footage and number of dwelling units (for housing) for 209 structure types at the county level.  The database can be purchased on an annual subscription basis or on an as-needed basis
Real Estate and Construction Service The federal government assembles construction permit data by property type for counties, MSAS, states, and the nation.  The data are published monthly in the Bureau of the Census's C-40 Report.  WEFA also reports permits by MSA and county but divides permits into two categories: residential and a single category called commercial.

B. Starts
 
Census of Construction Industries Each industry publication presents at the state level and the U.S. level detailed information on construction performed an value of inputs to that construction.
Census of Construction Industries Geographic Area Series On a monthly basis, Construction Statistics tracks the numbers of Construction statistics measure the dollar value of all construction put in place each month.

C. Agricultural Land
 
Census of Agriculture States and County Highlights /The census of agriculture is a complete accounting of U.S. production. The census is the only source of uniform, comprehensive agricultural data for every county.
Census of Agriculture Zip Code Tabulations of Selected Items The Zip Code Tabulations report provides selected statistics, by zip code, from the 1997 farms and ranches, and the only source of comparable detailed data at the county level.

Canadian Directory of Shopping Centers Canadian Directory of Shopping Centers
Census of Service Industries Basic data obtained for all establishments include kind of business, federal income tax status, geographic location, taxable operating receipts, annual and first quarter payroll and employment for the pay period including March 12.
Census of Wholesale Trade Establishment and Firm Size All wholesale trade establishments with payroll are included in survey.

American Housing Survey The Bureau of the Census, Housing and Household Economic Studies carries out an annual survey that tracks vacancies for all housing, including single-family units, offered for rent and for multifamily units in configurations of five or more units for the U.S., states, some major metropolitan areas and some cities.

Census of Manufacturers Presents final figures for each of approximately 459 industries by groups of related industries.

Census of Mineral Industries All domestic mining establishments that are classified in SIC Division B, Mining, and have at least one employee.  establishment coverage has been the same since 1967.
Comparative Statistics of Industrial & Office Real Estate Markets SIOR surveys its members in a written questionnaire on the condition of the local industrial market represented by each member.  The surveys are then computerized and presented in a written volume with text commentary prepared by analysts at Landauer Associates.
Industrial Building Income and Expense Report The NAIOP report contains income and expense data for about 500 industrial properties.  Data obtained from over 100 NAIOP members.

Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) was established in 1996 with an aim to produce and disseminate real estate related knowledge with particular emphasis on Asia. Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES) PRRES was established in 1993 to provide a formal focus for property researchers, educators and practioners in the Pacific-Rim Region.
European Real Estate Society (ERES) The European Real Estate Society (ERES) was established in 1994 to create a structured and permanent network between real estate academics and professionals across Europe. ERES is dedicated to promoting and advancing the field of real estate research throughout Europe.
